Is the Ohio infection control course the whole CE requirement?
No. It is 3 of the 4 required hours. The other hour is the Board Laws and Rules course, which only the Board offers, free, on CE Broker.
The 3-hour Infection Control and Safety course is the part of Ohio CE that a Board-approved provider can offer. The Laws and Rules hour stays on CE Broker.
The Board requires 3 hours of Infection Control and Safety. That hour total applies to multiple licenses. 1StopCEUs offers it two ways for the 2025-2027 cosmetology cycle:
Either course is the infection-control half only. You still need the Board's free 1-hour Laws and Rules course on CE Broker. The Board says providers may not include Board laws and rules inside their own CE courses.
Keep the certificate. It should show the date, hours, and class name. The Board verifies hours in CE Broker before eLicense will accept the renewal. Providers must report attendance within 10 business days. Do not email the certificate to the Board.
